The Roaring Fork River runs north from the mountains surrounding Aspen, Colorado to Glenwood Springs and the Colorado River confluence. The Colorado collects the Eagle River just west of Glenwood Springs and flows through Glenwood Springs. Vail is 60 minutes east of Glenwood Springs and Aspen is 45 minutes south of Glenwood Springs, CO. See map below.
